Alma is passionate about teaching.  After earning her BA in Psychology, she has relentlessly pursued her career in psychology combined with teaching young children.  She was a special education and pre-K lead teacher at the Stanford Arboretum Children’s Center from 2001 to 2006 where she worked with students with autism disorder in a typical classroom setting.  This experience has inspired her to pursue her career as a teacher and behavior specialist earning diverse experience in providing parent education and offering consultation services to organizations focused on the treatment of autism, schizophrenia or other disorders. 

Alma holds a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University, Early Childhood Education from University of California - Silicon Valley, Master of Arts in Special Education (Behavior Analysis) and Psychology from the University City of Manila - Manila, Philippines, Master of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of the Assumption – Pampanga Philippines.  Alma has also completed Behavior Analyst Course towards earning her BCBA certification.   
 
Alma founded Silicon Valley ABA & Consulting Services (SVABACS) in 2007.  SVABACS provides in-home and school intervention services for children with autism spectrum disorder and other related disabilities implementing various methodologies using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)to teach children become more independent and self-regulated.

Offering center-based services has always been Alma’s passion.  She believes that Hollister Child Development Center will offer a dynamic opportunity that will allow effective collaboration with parents, other providers and the community to achieve optimum results in the development of the child and his/her support group.   Alma aims to share her wealth of academic and practical experience in preschool settings and special education classroom management and counseling to extend her deep affection for the well being of young children, their families and the community.

Tracy started her career in the Early Childhood Education field in 1987 as Teacher's Aide. She received her BA in Child Development from Sacramento State University and her MA in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College where she designed a guideline for parents and educators working with hard of hearing children. Tracy has been a teacher, administrator, supervisor, mentor, Accreditation Facilitator and Educator with various companies always striving to provide the highest quality of care and programming. Tracy brings almost 30 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education which includes her wealth of experience in providing developmentally appropriate practices such as the Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) and Reggio Emilia programming of ensuring the environment is set up to be part of the children's teachings, supporting the staff and educators of our children as mentors and role models who guide our children to communicate and learn from each other through various child initiated activities and projects. Tracy shares visions and center goals for making HCDC an amazing and safe learning environment for children, an exciting and supportive workplace for staff while partnering with families to guide the center to meet the highest standards of NAEYC Accreditation. 

As a single mom, Tracy raised her daughter in the Early Childhood Education field.  Her daughter Lisa is now in her third year of college at Academy of Art University.  Tracy enjoys hiking, walking, biking, swimming and Zumba.  She is a triathlete who also mentors and coaches with Team in Training and Special Olympics.  Tracy has been hard of hearing since age 4, wears hearing aids and lip reads to communicate well.  Tracy's passion is teaching children basic sign language through books and songs and looks forward to sharing this passion with the children of Hollister Child Development Center.
